Abbey College Manchester Receives Top Honors with ‘Excellent’ Rating in All Categories

Abbey College Manchester is experiencing great joy throughout the entire college community as it has been granted the esteemed rating of ‘excellent’ in every category by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI).
The inspectors from ISI have awarded Abbey Manchester College the highest possible rating, acknowledging the outstanding academic development and achievements of the students, as well as the exceptional quality of their personal growth.
One inspector remarked, “Pupils of all ages consistently demonstrate exceptional knowledge, skills, and understanding across the curriculum, achieving remarkable success in their academic pursuits. They exhibit an exceedingly positive attitude towards learning and face challenges with unwavering commitment and enthusiasm.”
Furthermore, the inspector noted, “The school has achieved remarkable success in fulfilling its objectives of guiding students towards academic excellence and helping them realise their aspirations.”
Regarding the students’ overall development, the inspector commented, “The students possess excellent self-understanding and self-confidence. They exhibit resilience and are adept at enhancing their own learning.”
The inspection process, spanning three consecutive days in March, encompassed various activities. The ISI inspectors observed classroom lessons, engaged in discussions with the students, and examined their work. They also held conversations with staff members and governors, observed a selection of extracurricular activities, and attended form meetings. Furthermore, the inspectors visited student accommodation, learning support areas, and educational resource facilities. They thoroughly reviewed responses from parents, staff, and students via pre-inspection questionnaires, while also examining curriculum and other relevant documentation.
